  1. How secure is that tractor against predators? We have bears here and I’d
love to rear my chickens in tractors but feel I have no choice but to have
them in an area where they can go in a coop at night – even in the day we
have had bear problems. Any ideas?

  2. Are you going make a video on how to dress them for freezing? Slaughter,
scalding, de-feathering, gutting, etc etc? I’d like to learn how to do it.

  4. You’re a horrible, horrible man! Making those poor chickens eat grass and
    bugs like that 🙁
They should be indoors, under heat lamps, with a feed bin in front of them!

Everyone says that meat birds can’t forage and just sit there and eat. I do
about the same. Free range or in a 50’x40′ pen and they act like normal
chickens, they even try to fly. They just grow faster. It broke my heart to
cull my cornish x last year. They were such beautiful, active chickens.
They were four months old by the time I did it and were the size of small
turkeys. I did lose one, a heart attack when a neighbors dog got loose and
    attacked the pen fence.
Kept one as a pet and “laying hen.” She’s a year old now. Only lays three
eggs a week but she’s a doll and keeps up with the ducks and chickens. At
14lbs she’s a big girl but there is just more of her to love as they say.

  5. Great video! I like the design on your tractors, mine have kick-down wheels
to make it easier for the women who come to hang out and help out.Are the
chickens you grow cornish cross or some other big bodied variety? What kind
of govt. crap do you have to wade to get them on the market? Do you sell on
line or just local? We are just local for now but I would love to here your
history and how you grew your business to this point! I will check out your
website for some of this info, but, if there is something you would like to
add to what you have posted I am all eyes!!

  6. What kind of meat chickens are those? My neighbors had some that looked
like bowling balls with legs. These look reasonable.

  7. I assume that you sell the chickens. How do you deal with regulations and
    such?
edit: I understand that you have to do alot of work before you even begin
to clean and sell the chickens yourself. What is your method?

  10. We get our feed from a local farmer. Ground corn and barley. No meds even
as baby chicks. We also make oyster shell available for our layers. It
helps with egg production. You can check out our other products online at
