This is the best simplest DIY chicken coop I have found. Thanks!
That is inspirational. I am wanting to build a hen house. Thanks for the
video!
Great job for the money
really awesome video. great ideas.
TY. I need to build a floor for my coop and this gave me some additional
ideas!!!!
Great job and resourceful to boot. Keep up the good work.
Love it. I’m all about cheap or free. Life’s about enjoying things. Thanks
for the ideas :-)
Thanks for posting – Looking about for inspiration, everything is all about
building an expensive coop which will cost more than all the chickens ever
housed in it… Our first coup was a cupboard cut in half and stuck back
together. Cost £5 from a charity shop plus a few screws. This time I am
thinking about making one from some excess chicken wire and bamboo canes
fro a frame…
Awesome design. I’m building mine soon. Hey what breed of chickens are
those? They are very quiet which I like.
Building a chicken coops yourself is simple and interesting task. I’ve made
an easy to follow help guide for constructing your very own backyard
chicken house.
Have you gotten any eggs yet?
Love the coop.don’t put food or water cause it puts them at habit to eat
eggs
He has the same name as me first and last
I really like your coop! I’m currently using a repurposed bunny hutch but I
have 13 chicks and 2 ducklings that are a few weeks old, so I need to have
something bigger built by the time they come of age.
Very helpful! Got some ideas 🙂 thanks for the video
maybe you should try quail
Plymouth rocks good choice
Good tips. Do you have a heater for it?
what happens if you go on vacation and don’t collect the eggs
No help u should actually do it not just explain it!
I did something similar – had to buy a few 2×4’s for support and some 2×2’s
as well – had some fence pickets left over as well as some wood shelves and
a cabinet door, even used some snap together wood flooring to make the roof
– bought wire hardware cloth for added protection – cost me about $50 (most
expensive was the hardware cloth) and some hinges – had some old paint
around too to paint it – other expense for me will be the closed in run –
thanks for the ideas 🙂
Thank you. I did end up hanging the feeder and water inside the coop and
ended up rasing the fence to 8 feet. now the leg horns could jump out but
none of the other chickens can.
no central oregon
no not for heat mainly to keep them awake so theyll keep laying. my biggest
thing was keeping the water from freezing without buying the hot pad for
it. good luck on your coop
right around 7 feet
