    grown just did not peck there way out!!

  2. My dad raised quail when I was a kid to train his brittanies with,it was my
    job to feed let’s just say that I repopulated the woods in our area with
    bob white quail I had a record of about one a week would get out of the
    coop.I was 6 though.Lol.

  3. Hatchrates on mail eggs are low, 50% is expected from one state away, so if
    you got more than that, you did great. Don’t give up on birds, chicks are
    in the feedstores now.

  4. I used to sell and buy eggs on Ebay, the hatching problem if ordered out of
    state, and you said they grew and didn’t hatch. They are flown in the
    bottom of an airplane, its gets to freezing temps, this causes that
    membrane skin in the egg to thicken so the chick can not break through.
    Eggs will also addle in transit, best to hatch in a turner after resting
    upright for a day. Also draw a circle from the state, each state you go
    out, it drops the hatch rate taking longer to arrive/handled more.

    some get out but when i went to feed them they came back

  6. Do u live by large electrical power lines? That could explain low birth
    rate. Also it might be due to a bug in the water….advice came from my
    uncle who is a poultry farmer in Texas….i called him for ya.
