  1. He will be back in the coop VERY SOON.. My experience is once they find
free meals> EGGS, BIDDYs ,etc. you can NOT keep them away without some type
    of snake proof barrier.(like a hoe)..lol… I hate to kill non-venomous
snakes around my place, but sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do!!….
    lol…
    BEST OF LUCK !

  3. “Big black snake” followed by “where’d he go?” …. not two phrases of
words I would ever want to hear together if I were around. lol

  4. I know black snakes are not that bad and can be good for rodents and
keeping away other snakes but I still do NOT like snakes

  5. Maybe now that you have your buzzard lines secure, you need snake lines. I
hear if you cross lines close too the ground, snakes won’t come in.

  6. I understand not wanting to kill something that is harmless but it is after
your eggs and could injure or kill a chicken, so He would have to die.
Besides its a snake I can handle any bug, reptile, insect and animal EXCEPT
snakes and a roach. I see either one its time for them or me to go.

  8. i’m guessing that was a black racer snake, as fast as he moved lol. Bet I
could move faster if I saw him, though, even at my age, hehehe, lotta
motivation! rofl! shudder, yeah I know those are the good ones, I think
they even eat the poisonous snakes, it’s just, well, sheesh, it is a SNAKE!
and there was a good example why you think you are safe but can walk right
over one and never see it til yer bitten, the way he skittered right into
    those leaves! ugh!!!!

  10. I have been bit by 3 cotton mouths in one day about 13 years ago. and 2
years before that a copper head got me and back when I was a kid a copper
head got me. and a ground rattler got me when I was in my mid 20’s. so to
me the only good snake is a dead snake I don’t care what kind it is.

  11. Ughhhh… I hate snakes. Grew up in south Louisiana and most snakes here
are poisonous, they say you can tell by the shape of their head or their
scales, well, I’m not going to get that close. Moth balls smell better than
a snake getting anywhere near me. Gives me the cold willies. God Bless and
    take care.

  12. I’ve seen a flock of biddies attack a snake en masse! It was not pretty. I
think your right, Troy! Chickens came from raptors!
