What is Cluckin’ Good Grower Grit?
A Supplement for Poultry
Grit is necessary for the healthy development of a chicken’s gizzard. The gizzard aids in digestion, & allows for maximum nutrient benefit from whole grain feeds. Made up of insoluble crushed rock, grit remains in the bird’s gizzard to help with digestion and grind food as it passes through. Grit comes in various sizes for different birds depending on size and age. Grit is an essential part of your bird’s diet and should always be provided, especially if there is no access to small, sharp rocks.
Use with poultry from approximately 8 to 20 weeks of age
Made up of insoluble crushed quartzite and granite
We suggest offering Grower Grit either free choice in a separate dish or tossing on the ground in their coop area to encourage natural scratching behavior.
Grower Grit is around 3/32″ – 3/16″ in size
They have an extensive shelf life!
