How To Build A Chicken Coop, DIY-Guides
This is a walk around of the construction of a Polyface Chicken Pen. The complete cut list and a picture of the various parts can be found at www.henselfamil…
Hoe many birds can you put in this and what are the dimensions? Have you
ever tried ducks?
This is one of the best how to videos I’ve ever seen on an obscure but
invaluable farm structure. Thanks so much for taking the time to make this.
It’ll make it so much easier to have this and the cut list provided on your
site. Good luck on a good season down there in southern Oregon this year.
Thanks Anthony. I try to post videos I have looked for and couldn’t find.
Jim
Hi Jim, Thanks for a great video! Do you still have the cut list and plans
on your website?
Hi Jeff, The cut list (excel & pdf) is at
henselfamilyfarmsDOTcom/resources. There are also two helpful pictures in
HD so you can really zoom in & see how the parts go together. The lids are
a rectangular frame with one cross brace. We completely encircled the
outside walls with 24″ chicken wire then put sheeting on the back half of
the sides & the back side plus the back half of the top. One lid was
sheeted and one covered with chicken wire. Back sheet comes off for more
venting. Jim
Thanks Jim, Your how to videos are really good, I’ve used a lot of your bee
information and jigs in making my woodenware and it’s been really helpful.
Keep posting how to’s and what your up to on all aspects of farming…bees,
chickens, rabbits, woodworking etc., I really enjoy them. Jeff
