  1. I think your chicken died of a heart attack. I have had chickens since I
was 5 years old and over the years I had 2 that looked like that when they
died. One I heard gasp for brearh outside my window. Then I found her body
(My red sexlink hen, “Summer”, in 2002).The other was in 2006.This one was
a Black Sexlink. I was doing work outside and saw her flopping around. I
tried to help her, but she died in my arms. I’m convinced both were heart
attacks. It sure looks like your chicken had a heart attack, too. It seems
like it just sneaks upon them. mine laid eggs the same day they died, too.

  3. At 2:50 I I hate to say I think Daisy pecked the final blow to the neck.
You can tell when she came out (which I do think was rabbit forced,
“somehow”), you can see her breathing but her head did flop once she was in
a sideways position, meaning it was probably damaged already and this is
when daisy came up to “check things out”. Not a seizure, or if it was it
happened earlier in the day and one of the other animals did damage during
her seizure, and I believe as far as the egg, it was probably somewhat like
a last emptying of the bodily fluids, only in chickens, it would be the
    egg. So Sorry!

  4. I just found one of my baby girls(hen) dead this morning in her pen..she
was perfectly healthy..I am wondering if this tom cat that prowls around
our barn did it? but I see no apparent marks on her body…but the cat may
of scared her and caused a heart attack? she was only 5 months old…so
upsetting…as she was one of our pets.

  5. My rooster passed away the other day. He was all fine and healthy and when
I went down to let them out he was just flopped on the ground and looked
rather ruffled up. I’m rather curious about what happened. On another note,
how well do the rabbits get along with the chickens? Ive been considering
    getting a few.

  7. “loneliness from losing whitey” thats it, chickens arnt known to pair up
but it happens more than you think even with hens, they kinda give up after
a loss of someone so important to them dies, kinda like us? im sorry for
    your loss
