  1. Great job! For those first timers it appears to me you could order a simple
shed kit and modify it for the doors and windows. That might make life
    easier

  2. Or go to the local barber shop and hair salon and ask for the hair. Put
that in stockings and hang that around the fence. Animals think it’s a
    person there.

  3. Great job! On the video you can’t even notice the stairs. There are things
you always think about AFTER you’ve built your coop. Overall it’s excellent
and your birds are lucky. I also have a lot of snakes and like your
plexiglass door idea for the nesting boxes. Be proud!

  4. Keep raccoons away: Hang soap bars in a stocking around the fence. Put
apple cider vinegar and salt in the water. Plant and fence off alfalfa in
the yard. When it’s ready let them have it. Do this on rotation all year
round. Your chickens will love you for it.

  6. That you did! You were a little hard on yourself during the video but as
far as I was concerned you did alright.. Even the steps was alright, yes
    they could use a heaver tread, but hey : ) it isn’t a church house, it’s a
chicken house LOL.. Very good job,, it’s a lot better then most.. I’d be
proud to have it in my back yard 🙂 : ) : )

  7. Beautiful coop! Had you ever built anything before? I am needing to build a
coop, but I’m a total beginner and I can’t figure out where to begin. I
need a step by step for someone who’s never stepped into a hardware store!
    🙂

  8. I had never built anything major like this. I have another video, I think I
called it “How I Built my Chicken House” where I explain what I did step by
step. If you look at enough videos, you should be able to figure out how to
build it. That’s how I did it and it’s really not that difficult. Lotsa
    luck to you!

  10. Thank you, I think the run is about 24 x 24. Right now I only have 4
chickens in it but I think it could accommodate about 25 if necessary.
Right now I don’t need that many eggs.

  11. Best looking coop on youtube! How big is your run? It looks like it’s
either 24′ x 24′ or 24′ x 32′. Also how many chickens do you have in it?

  12. Thank you, I hate snakes too. So far I’ve only seen one at the chicken
house. It was climbing around the door frame looking for a way in. I got
    it, it didn’t get in.
