Good catch! But theirs is way more professional than mine. They have had
years to improve in my design. And they are professionals!
This is the exact same build as the free Home Depot youtube video in 2
parts for a chicken coop.
@Pilotsofer lol I know right? I noticed the “build a chicken coop” sector
is full of scams…
yes quick n easy means expensive headaches… same as
And don’t forget to put them away at night – check out “Sunset Reminder”

Incorrect. And please correct your spelling.
A very straightforward presentation. The insults aren’t necessary from some
of the commenters. It is precisely what he states it is. It isn’t meant to
withstand heavy gunfire, mobs of crazed people wielding brickbats, or
anything beyond simple weather. It is a blooming henhouse, for crying out
loud! While different climates and weather conditions will dictate
modifications, an all around a simple henhouse. The music is a bit
overpowering, but nice.
Spiff music.
@TAZMPictures yeah why is everyone trying to scam chicken farmers?
cute and looks easy enough for those of us not quite so handy! Music, while
a nice choice, was overpowering when trying to hear you talk.
Thanks for the feedback! I will try and bear that in mind in the future – I
get carried away 🙂
did you cut the 2×4’s in half the long way? those look much more skinny
than 2×4’s at my home depot.
lol… x 10 good effort.. but mate its gonna fall… would you let your
kids get in never mind your chicks.. joiner/carpenter 20yrs… again good
effort. why though? i only watched 30secs of it.. its still playing..
i made it spending 2 bucks i used scrap wood
Cool. You gave me ideas and things that I could add on to the coop.
weak design
this chicken house is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the chicken coop I want to try building this one. I have a
temporary coop right now and keeping the chickens in the garage and letting
them outside when the weathers good…. My husband bought the baby chicks
before the coop was built so we have them in a dog kennel for now.
Ehhh…props for DIY, but there are a few things that needed to be done
better. Cuts, squaring everything, better lock method(no screws poking
through either could cause injury to a chicken).
Thank you 🙂
$150? i make better and bigger for $50-$80. And that is with protected
wood. not something thats gonna rot. Looks nice though for something
temporary.
hahahaha that made me laugh thanks hahah
@nossican72 It’s still looking good – and it’s been more than a year 🙂
A lot of people get chickens before they have somewhere to put them so
building a hen house becomes a rush job. This is great if you have limited
time and resources. If you want regular eggs it is a good investment
You know u just saved me a whole bunch of money and trouble. Starting with
chickens here but couldnt get the point of building a hen house that I
could afford …. now I cant afford not to…. thanks a million eggs….
