There are always ways to update or improve. I’m about ten weeks in from chicks and brooder.

Ghost, Nice coop! check out my set up, it might help with an idea for keeping your water naturally. I have 14 RIR and they are laying 10 to 12 eggs a day. please subscribe!
Thanks. I put the mobile part of my project on hold for now and worked on the secure outer pen. It can extend into the full garden during the days in fall and winter. I’m sure you have predators (as do I) to deal with as winter gets near so, the outer pen is something that I thought would be best for me.
That’s a great setup ghost, we have 6 reds on the go this summer too! So far I just have them in a mobile “chicken tractor” but I will have to build something more substantial before the fall so thanks for the ideas!

So may I ask what the farmers trick is to pick out hens? I would really like to know if you’re willing to reveal it to us.
