  1. I like it, I really do…. But wow man, how complicated just to shut and open a little door. Looking at doing something because I want to travel some AND have chickens… Was thinking of a timer + motor.

  2. Great clip. I want to do the same. Can you tell me the make and model of the light sensor, light sensor relay and the DPDT relay? Thanks

  3. Could you make diagrams a little more clear. I can’t seem to make out the labels. Also, what type of parts do you have in your device? type motor, relay, etc. Keep up the good work! You rock!

  4. The light sensor is adjustable from 1 lux to 100 lux. I have it set at the minimum 1 lux, so that it opens as early as possible. The time delay on the DPDT relay lets me add 20 minutes, or whatever works, beyond 1 lux at dusk before the door closes. I did this because one time the door shut before the girls all got it, but now they seem to be in well before 1 lux.
