The next things that you must care of are drainage and the proper arrangement for the source of light. All these things are necessary when you brood over the question of making a secured chicken coop. Door of the coop must face the sun so that the chickens get ample sunlight. The sunlight is necessary for their living and breeding. If you want that the chickens would lay eggs round the year you may arrange for the electricity. Proper drainage system is also required to cater proper comfort to the chickens. For perfect drainage make the coop on a place that is much higher one. The door of the coop should be lowered a bit so that water can flow well through the coop.
There must be ample place for the chickens to run surrounding the coop. The run area must be covered taking in view the attacks of the predators. You have to surround the coop with tight fence so that no predator can have an easy entry.
Finally you have to be cautious of the source of water and the perfect feeder so that the chickens can get pure water and hygienic food all the time. The coop must be cleaned every now and then so that the sanitation is maintained perfectly well.
