you are not to help it it is bad for them they need to lern
could they be 2 boys or 2 girls or both?
I can’t believe that’s even possible. Great video
The chicks are fine they both survived and i would have intervened two with a double yolker hatching to make sure they were both ok. also she firstly only made sure they could both breath, then went back to them as she could still see a few veins so respect to her, i wouldn’t recommend helping any hatch but saying that i have still helped a few out in my time 🙂 all based on peoples own personal opinion but they both came out happy and healthy and that’s all that matters x
@TylerBigham How do you think chickens have coped for 1,000s of years without the need of a bloody kitchen knife?? dumbass!!!
Really, no need for human intervention at all…!
This is setting a really bad example to people i.e: AllyKat514 who is a student of yours who thinks this is COOL.
I always wondered if a double-yolker was incubated…now I know.
when they first break through and can get air… it is best not to do anything for 24 hours before helping them any… not only do they need to absorb all the yolk but their lungs need to acclimate to the air and learn to absorb/process oxygen.. first time I helped one out to early it came out nicely and was very strong and moving around… then died in like 3 mins gasping for air because his lung were not developed enough… let them lungs get some practice before helping.
where did you get your eggs from?
You ‘helping’ them out of the shell is what killed them. They need to absorb all the yolk before thye come out. This happens during pipping.
I LIKE CHICKENS
@needmorechickens I lost both unfortunately. They never pipped, and when I checked they got to about 18 days. Their yolks were not absorbed when they stopped, everything else looked good. Thank you though
@5PEDROGARZA8 She was using a knife to help the chickens hatch, obviously u dont have any common sense.
Really cool Mrs. Bowers
@AllyKat514 Thanks Alexis!
Wow Mrs.Bowers this is so cool 🙂
@needmorechickens That’s good news… thank you for the update.
@cwerklund Thanks!
@danuta10 The chicks did NOT die, they grew up just fine.
@Brackenburn100 Thanks!
@carrieldzCALLIXII How is your double yolker? Hope everything goes well.
@HTCSWEOD They did turn out normal, I eventually sold them and they were one hen and one rooster. It was really exciting!
How did these two do in the long run? Were they the same sex? Did they turn out identical? Curious… (“>
awww how cute, she was so patient when she was helping the chicks out the egg!!!:)
She looks like she knows what she’s doing- plus, she likely saved these two little ones, so, kudos to her. 🙂
