  2. Ow.. I see… well in my country we get our watermelons from regular
    farmers.. and they have fields of them.. and don’t use chemicals. Most
    watermelons are sweet and tasty… not tasteless like you find in the
    supermarket

  3. No, not all watermelons are organically grown, due to the high water
    content, watermelon “drinks up” a lot of runoff in the ground. If
    conventionally grown, everything from sewage sludge to pesticides get into
    the cells of the plant and the plants are often depleted of vital
    nutrients. While watermelons are non-gmo at this point and tend to have
    less pests, still toxic pesticide residue was found in 28% of non-organic
    watermelon samples taken. So we stick with organic πŸ™‚
